A winter event means the possibility of exciting winter weather. We study MNDOT and national weather service predictions carefully in the days leading up to the event. Everyone who is registered will receive and email at noon on Wednesday (Jan, 19, 2022) just prior to the event for a final “GO” or “NO GO” event due to weather conditions. Even if the event is a “GO” we may offer additional instructions or weather advisories on best time to travel during daylight hours. The safety of everyone must always be our top priority.
Please be ready and look for this confirmation email on wednesday. We will also make the confirm/cancel announcement on Facebook and Twitter as well. If, for safety reasons, we deem travel is unavoidably dangerous, we will regrettably cancel the event for that year.
